FAQ
What is an estimator?

Estimate
– An estimate is the assembly of costs applied to defined quantities, established production rates based on durations, and confirmed supplier and subcontractor quotations. An estimate represents Aecon’s assessment of what things will cost for a defined scope of work. An estimate, when combined with commercial terms, a schedule, a scope of work and authorized signatures, together forms an offer in response to a client’s request.

Joining Aecon as a co-op estimator has been one of the most spectacular opportunities and experience, I have ever had. The leaders are inspiring. I estimated mega projects such as the Young North Subway Extension and the Rail Deck District. Gained tremendous technical knowledge through meetings and quantity take-offs.
