Aecon welcomes Tim Murphy as Chief Strategic Affairs Officer

Aecon is pleased to welcome Tim Murphy to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Strategic Affairs Officer.

Tim headshotMost recently serving as Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of McMillan LLP, as well as Managing Director of McMillan Vantage Public Affairs, Mr. Murphy joins Aecon with over three decades of experience in legal and management, public service, and private and public transactions with a focus on infrastructure, project finance and Public-Private Partnerships.

Mr. Murphy previously served as Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister of Canada, Chief of Staff to the Finance Minister of Canada, and as an elected Member of Provincial Parliament in Ontario. He serves on the Board of Morguard REIT and the Canadian National Institute of the Blind and was also previously Chair of the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority Board of Directors, as well as a variety of public, private and non-profit Boards.

Mr. Murphy holds a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Toronto, where he is currently an adjunct professor in the Faculty of Law.
